How JTL is marking National Apprenticeship Week 2026

From centre open days to parliamentary events – and everything in between – here’s how JTL is marking this annual celebration of apprenticeships.

This year’s National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9-15 February, themed around Skills for Life. Across our JTL training centres and in collaboration with stakeholders, we’re looking forward to a packed week of events and with colleagues, apprentices and employers.

Monday 9th February
– JTL will attend a parliamentary reception as a finalist in the Apprenticeship and Training Awards for the success of LEDA.

Tuesday 10th February
– All Party Parliamentary Group for Apprenticeships: parliamentary event with Andrew Pakes MP.
– Centre Shop Project, JTL Ashford Training Centre, TN23 1EW: second-year apprentices present their installation projects to a panel of judges as if bidding for a real-world electrical contract. The panel will be headed by Sean Upton, Director of EW Gee Contractors and a great advocate for the project.
– Open day 1:30-7:30pm, JTL Preston Training Centre, PR1 4QF: welcoming potential and current employers and apprentices to find out about electrical and plumbing apprenticeships.

Wednesday 11th February
– JTL Female Learner Network launch event 9:30am, JTL London South Training Centre, BR6 0JS: the inaugural event for our new female network, encouraging diversity within building services engineering and providing peer support and mentoring.

Thursday 12th February
– ‘Opportunity Bromley’ event in Parliament with Peter Fortune MP.
– Open day 3-7pm, JTL Birmingham Training Centre, B6 5RQ: welcoming potential and current employers and apprentices to find out about electrical and plumbing apprenticeships.
