New Daikin Sustainable Home Centre to open in London this August

Daikin is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new Sustainable Home Centre in London, developed in partnership with London Plumbing & Heating Supplies Ltd. The Centre will officially open on Friday 7 August 2026 at 531 Barking Rd, London E6 2LN.

Founded more than 25 years ago by three brothers who opened a small plumbing and heating merchant in East Ham, London Plumbing & Heating Supplies Ltd has grown from a single shop into four branches and warehouses while retaining its family values and customer-first approach. In 2023, the business began expanding into renewables in response to rising demand for low‑carbon heating solutions. It has since committed to supporting the industry’s transition to renewable technologies.

The opening event will run from 10am-2pm, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12pm. Attendees can enjoy presentations, practical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, networking opportunities and a complimentary lunch. Attendees who open an account on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win a Daikin air purifier, while those who sign up for Daikin training will receive a £10 voucher.

Kota Ikeda, National Residential Sales Manager at Daikin, commented:

“The Sustainable Home Centre embodies our shared goal to make low-carbon heating solutions attainable and practical for everyday homes and businesses. Through our showroom and training facility we give installers and homeowners hands-on access to products, technical guidance and the skills needed to speed up the adoption of heat pumps and other renewable technologies.”

Raj Dha, Operations Director, added:

“Opening our Daikin Heat Pump and Renewables Training Centre is a significant milestone for our business and reflects our long-term commitment to the renewable heating sector. We want to provide more than just products – we want to support installers with the knowledge, practical training and technical expertise they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry. By creating a dedicated local training facility in partnership with Daikin, we’re investing in the future of our region, helping to upskill heating engineers, increase confidence in renewable technologies, and ensure customers have access to high-quality, professionally installed heat pump systems. We believe this Centre will become a valuable resource for both existing installers and those looking to enter the renewables market.”
