Aico joins EIC as first sponsor of apprentice training scheme

The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC) is delivering free, industry-specific mental health and wellbeing training to apprentices across the electrical and energy sectors.

Aico is the first sponsor of the programme, which offers practical, accessible courses tailored to the unique challenges faced by those working in our industry, developed in direct response to the trends and issues emerging from EIC support cases.

In total, 15 courses are available, covering topics including Money Management, Banter vs Bullying, Coping with Suicide and Loss, Homelessness, Anxiety and Alcoholism, and more. Apprentices can access the courses via the EIC Learning Management System (EIC Free Apprentice Training).

To access the free training, all you need to do is sign up here. To discuss alternative options that work for your institution’s specific needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Electrical Industries Charity at fundraising@electricalcharity.org.

The EIC is eager to work closely with colleges by delivering in-person and virtual talks to introduce students and staff to the charity and raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing. The team is actively looking to attend more college open days and events, helping to ensure apprentices know where to turn for support from the very start of their careers.

Aico is the first organisation in the industry to partner with the EIC to support this initiative, helping to extend its reach and ensure apprentices receive high-quality, relevant mental health support.
