BPEC Year in Review out now

The BPEC Charity has published its annual Year in Review to profile its wide-ranging and significant work to support plumbing and heating skills development over the last 12 months.

BPEC continually invests in projects focused on raising standards, supporting the training and development of plumbing operatives and encouraging leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation. The charity is self-sustaining and its surplus, all of which is re-invested into the industry, is generated by the activities of BPEC’s trading companies BPEC Certification and BPEC Services.

In 2025, project highlights included:

  • Continuing support of Aquabox and the Lighthouse Charity, as well as community project ‘Warriors of Warmth’.
  • Investing a significant £15,000 into the future of plumbing and heating apprenticeships in Scotland.
  • Donations to support three important water, hygiene and sanitation projects across Africa.
  • Delivering the SkillPLUMB competition across the UK and supporting WorldSkills and Scottish competitions.
  • Collaborating with many industry organisations on skills development issues.
  • Launching a new FESS EPA facility at our headquarters in Derby.

Many people recognise BPEC for our training and certification services, but fewer realise the extent of our charitable aims and the level of investment we make in the industry each year. The Year in Review serves as a helpful way to showcase the work we do and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the plumbing and heating sector.
