Daikin trained over 7,300 installers in heat pump technology during 2025

Daikin has announced that 7,333 installers completed its specialist heat pump training programmes throughout 2025 – a 20% year-on-year increase that underscores the growing demand for heat pump expertise in the UK.

As the industry continues its transition towards low-carbon heating solutions, Daikin’s comprehensive training portfolio has become a robust and reliable programme for people looking to future-proof their businesses and expand their skillsets.

Daikin’s intensive bootcamp, launched last year, has got off to an encouraging start with 71 heating professionals being trained to install heat pumps. The bootcamp, which is typically free, runs across Daikin’s regional network of training centres. The hands-on course covers installation, commissioning, servicing, and water regulations for Altherma systems, providing skills for a future-proof career.

Daniel Jackson, UK Training Manager, commented:

“Heat pump technology represents the future of home heating and proper training is essential for both the installer success and customer satisfaction. We’re proud to have supported over 7,300 professionals in 2025 to gain these crucial skills.

“As we look to 2026, there’s never been a better time to upskill. The Government’s Heat Pump Training Grant helps to alleviate financial barriers and Daikin will work closely with installers to help them access this funding.

“We’re now accepting registrations for this year’s heat pump training programmes and invite people to experience our industry-leading training facilities that play host to foundation heat pump installation courses, advanced system design and commissioning, intensive bootcamp programmes and specialist refrigerant handling certification courses.”
