NICEIC TechLive returns for 2026

Following the success of its inaugural TechLive event, NICEIC is delighted to announce the return of TechLive, with two new events for 2026.

  • NICEIC TechLive Surrey
    • Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands Drive, Weybridge, KT13 0SL
    • Thursday 11 June 2026
  • NICEIC TechLive Sheffield
    • Magna, Sheffield Road, Rotherham, S60 1DX
    • Wednesday 30 September 2026

NICEIC’s TechLive events are the ultimate in-person CPD resource, enabling certified businesses to meet our expert technical team as well as peers and colleagues from across the industry, and have your questions answered face-to-face.

2026 is set to be a year of significant regulatory change for the industry; our TechLive events will provide you with the support your business needs to navigate the latest developments, including Amendment 4 of the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations and recent updates to the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS).

Featuring a range of practical and informative sessions delivered by our team of experts and guest speakers from across the industry, each NICEIC TechLive event offers you the opportunity to bank up to five hours of CPD, network with like-minded professionals, and speak with exhibitors showing off the latest products and services designed to help your business grow. Attendees will have the opportunity to curate their own event by selecting the most useful sessions for their business.

The 12 TechLive sessions will explore four broad themes and cover a variety of the latest industry trends as well as a live Technical Q&A. This year’s themes will cover:

Industry and regulatory updates
With Amendment 4 on the horizon, and recent updates to the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) affecting businesses undertaking work in periodic inspection and testing and renewable installations, our dedicated sessions covering the latest regulatory changes are designed to help your business understand what’s coming down the line and what you need to do to stay compliant in our ever evolving industry.

Electrotechnical and renewables fundamentals
Our range of back-to-basic talks and practical sessions cover the foundational skills electrotechnical businesses need to succeed in an evolving industry – from core electrotechnical topics to key renewable technologies.

Mental health and wellbeing
Our mental wellbeing sessions will enable you to better support yourself and your team – we’ll cover tips and guidance to help you spot signs of stress, recognise issues early and encourage open, supportive conversations.

Business tools
Electrotechnical work is demanding enough without the added pressure of managing your business. And with new legislative requirements – such as the upcoming Making Tax Digital for Income Tax rules – you need simple, reliable guidance more than ever. That’s why we’re here with practical business tips to help you stay organised, compliant and focused on the work that matters.

NICEIC Technical Director, Paul Collins, said:

“It is set to be a year of important changes and updates across the sector. NICEIC will be with you every step of the way, helping certified businesses to understand how these changes will impact your business. Across our 2 TechLive events in 2026, industry experts will provide you with the information and insight you need in one place, as well as the opportunity to complete 5 hours of CPD.”
