TrainME tool offers training pathway

For many installers, plumbers and engineers, navigating the training and accreditation landscape can be complicated. Mitsubishi Electric’s TrainME tool has been developed to address this challenge, providing a clear, structured pathway for professionals looking to upskill and become confident, competent heat pump installers.

TrainME is an intuitive online tool designed to support individuals at every stage of their career journey. Whether someone is exploring heat pumps as a potential next step, already working in the heating sector, or installing heat pumps and aiming to achieve MCS accreditation, TrainME delivers tailored guidance based on each user’s experience and existing qualifications.

By answering a small number of straightforward questions about their background, skills and career goals, users receive a personalised training report. The report clearly identifies recommended next steps, highlighting the most relevant courses and qualifications needed to progress. The result is a practical, confidence-building roadmap that removes uncertainty and helps professionals make informed decisions about their development.

Crucially, TrainME also connects users directly to Mitsubishi Electric’s online training calendar, allowing them to view upcoming courses and book onto the next available session with ease. This integration helps reduce barriers to training, saving time and simplifying the journey from interest to enrolment.

The tool reflects Mitsubishi Electric’s long-standing commitment to raising standards across the heating industry. As an award winning and LCL accredited training provider, Mitsubishi Electric can offer a range of approved, nationally recognised LCL qualifications, alongside its own accredited Ecodan heat pump training. This combination ensures installers receive both the theoretical knowledge and practical, manufacturer-specific expertise required to deliver high-quality heat pump installations.

TrainME has been developed with flexibility in mind, recognising that the heat pump workforce is diverse. Career changers can use the tool to understand what skills they need to enter the sector, while experienced heating engineers can identify the fastest route to formal qualifications and MCS readiness. For those already installing heat pumps, TrainME helps pinpoint any remaining gaps in training or certification, supporting consistent compliance and quality.

James Chaplen, Mitsubishi Electric’s Head of Product Marketing and Communications, said:

“TrainME has been designed to give installers clarity and confidence at a time when the industry is evolving rapidly. By providing a personalised training pathway and direct access to nationally recognised LCL courses and Ecodan heat pump training, we’re helping professionals take the next step in their careers while supporting higher standards across the heat pump sector.”
