What is the AM2 or AM2S?

At the end of your electrical apprenticeship you’ll need to take the AM2 or AM2S test before you can become fully qualified.

The AM2 and AM2S are an in-depth assessment where you have to carry out specific tasks to show what you have learned during your apprenticeship. The whole test is around 16 hours long, split over two and a half days, and it’s broken down into different sections such as installation, fault-finding, safe isolation and inspection & testing.
